EXPERIENCE

Mr. Carson serves as staff agronomist/ecologist for Maxim Engineering, Inc. His duties include evaluation and classification of soils at project sites, geological investigations, and assessment of environmental impacts to wildlife, aquatic biota, and vegetation. Mr. Carson is also proficient in automated computer design utilizing AUTOCAD and has completed numerous geology studies in the Appalachian Coalfields.

Prior to joining Maxim Engineering, Inc., Mr. Carson spent one year with Mullins Consulting Engineers where his duties were quite similar to those he assumed at Maxim Engineering, Inc. Before Mr. Carson's work at Mullins Consulting Engineers, he was employed for two and one-half years as a soil scientist by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He worked in both the Piedmont and Ridge and Valley Provinces of Virginia. His duties involved classifying and naming the soils within the survey areas, delineating the soils on aerial photographs, and taking soil samples needed for laboratory measurements and engineering tests.
